Coco is a city dog who enjoys taking the train and hanging out at doggy daycare. So, experiencing life in the countryside came as a shock.

The miniature Poodle mix went to spend the day with his grandparents when his owner, Alexi Pepillo, had to go out of town.

Day in the countryside

Alexi's parents promised to update Alexi on what her dog gets up to.

So, when Alexi began to receive updates from her parents, she was in for quite the surprise. Posting on X, Alexi shared a message she received from her mum, it said: "Hi!!! Today was a very adventurous day for Coco. He rode a horse and swam in the river.'"

The first photo Alexi shared from her mum showed little Coco sitting in a bag hooked onto his grandmother's shoulder, looking excited to start his adventures.

However, the following photos Aleix shared showed a rather different-looking Coco. The once champagne-coloured pup looked very dishevelled, covered in mud and exhausted.

City to countryside transformation

Other photos Alexi's mum sent her revealed all the exciting things Coco got up to, including riding a horse and going on river walks. All the while, the pup appeared to be having the time of his life.

His owner, Alexis Pepillo, shared the comical transformation online, and it quickly gained attention. Many people marvelled at Coco's journey from city sleekness to countryside ruggedness.

But it was Coco's infectious joy at the beginning of the day contrasted with his weary appearance by day's end that struck accord with many internet users.

While Coco has enjoyed many adventures since then, this day in the countryside with his grandparents is a standout, and he eagerly anticipates his next visit with them.
